Countdown to Kickoff: 200-yard receiving games

We’re now six days away from the start of the 2011 NFL season. When the Browns host the Bengals on Sept. 11, Cleveland will do all they can to prevent the kind of yardage Terrell Owens dropped on them in 2010 — a 10-catch, 222-yard effort in a game Cincinnati still lost, 23-20.
T.O. wasn’t the only receiver to put up 200 yards in a single game last season, as there were six 200-plus yard games. Since 1970, there have been 92 such performances, an average of 2.2 per season. Last season is the first campaign with six 200-yarders since 1985.
