There are 15 days until the 2011 NFL season kicks off. Fifteen is a noteworthy number when it comes to sacking the quarterback: Only a dozen players in NFL history have ever recorded two seasons of at least 15 sacks. Only one of those players is active: Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware.
Ware, who led the NFL with 15.5 sacks in 2010, begins his seventh NFL season when the Cowboys open at the Jets on Sunday night, Sept. 11. With 80 career sacks, he is on pace to pass several of those who join him on the list of players with two 15-sack seasons. And that list includes four Hall of Famers and eight of the top 20 all-time sacks artists.
