Veteran CB Kelvin Hayden is making a free-agent visit to the Minnesota Vikings Monday after meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs last week, according to league sources.
The Vikings are taking a look at depth behind starters Antoine Winfield, now 34, and Cedric Griffin, who is coming back from torn ACLs in both knees in back-to-back seasons.
Hayden was previously drawing at least some interest from the Bears, Redskins and Raiders.
Hayden was released by the Colts in late July. The 28-year-old had been a starter for the past four seasons, although missed time each of the past three seasons due to injuries. Hayden played in 11 games last season, registering 61 total tackles with two interceptions and eight passes defensed.
