Chargers’ Floyd out with concussion
Published: August 21st, 2011 | Tags: Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers
The Chargers announced that WR Malcom Floyd won’t return to Sunday night’s preseason game against the Cowboys due to a concussion.
Floyd was injured during the second quarter on an 18-yard reception from Billy Volek when he was hit by S Gerald Sensabaugh and his head slammed into the turf. The NBC game broadcast reported Floyd was brought into the locker room.
It was an offseason priority for the Chargers to bring back Floyd, who reached terms on a two-year contract during training camp.
