Data Points: Steel Curtain still going strong

There are 22 days until the 2011 NFL season kicks off –- and 22 is also the number of touchdowns allowed by the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, the lowest such total in the league.

Of course, that’s nothing new to the Steelers –- 2010 marked the third time in the last 10 years that Pittsburgh has allowed the fewest TDs in the NFL. And since 2001, every team that has allowed 22 or fewer TDs won at least 11 games and finished atop their division.
