CJ2K shouldn’t fall in The Office fantasy league

How ridiculous has the Chris Johnson hold out become? Rainn Wilson jumped into the mix and tweeted over the weekend that the Titans are being rather foolish.

Why don’t the Titans give Chris Johnson a new contract? He’s earned one. Are they cheap or stupid? Or both.

That is right. When Dwight from The Office is giving you advice on your holdouts, then maybe it is time to rethink how you are doing business. But here’s the real reason why Wilson wants this settled – it’s his fantasy draft.

I’m going 3rd in our Office fantasy football league. Who should I draft? AP and Arian Foster will most likely be gone…

Here’s the deal, Rainn, I’m not passing up Johnson in any of my upcoming fantasy drafts. In fact, we are holding our NFL.com experts league draft on Tuesday, and Johnson is mine if he is still available. Outside of Adrian Peterson, there is no other player that I would want on my fantasy team. What do we care if Johnson plays in preseason games? The Chargers routinely held LaDainian Tomlinson out of preseason games for years, and he went on to have some pretty productive seasons.

Well, regular seasons at least.

So let us break this down. Do not worry about Johnson’s holdout. The Titans need to get this finished, and much like the end of the lockout, there will be some sort of 11th hour settlement. Johnson will go on to have another great season for your fantasy team, and if you got him after Jim Halpert passed on him because he was scared about his holdout, all the better for you.
