Seahawks starting left tackle Russell Okung didn’t make it through the first quarter of his team’s opening preseason game against the Chargers on Thursday night before running into more injury problems.

Okung suffered what appeared to be a lower left leg injury on the Seahawks’ first drive of the game and limped off the field. NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reports X-rays were negative, according to league source.

Okung was later carted off the sidelines.

Okung has been plagued by ankle problems since the Seahawks made him the sixth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He missed the first three regular-season games last season with a left ankle injury, and he sprained the ankle again in Week 7 and missed three more games.
