Jaguars add ex-Browns DE/LB Roth

Former Browns DE/LB Matt Roth has agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Jaguars, according to a league source.

Roth drew interest from several teams on the free-agent market. According to a league source, Roth had been involved in talks with the Saints, Broncos and Cardinals before deciding to join coach Jack Del Rio in Jacksonville.

Roth started all 16 games for the Browns last season, his second in Cleveland, registering 86 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The 28-year-old spent his first five seasons with the Dolphins.
