Data Points: The magic number is 30

It’s T-minus 30 days until the 2011 NFL season kicks off in Green Bay with a Thursday night clash between the Saints and Packers. And 30 is a good round number to use when talking about prolific passers such as the Saints’ Drew Brees and the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers. In fact, Brees is the only QB who has thrown at least 30 TD passes in each of the last three seasons.

Brees is one of five passers to reach the 30 mark last season (he had 33) – the most with 30 or more this century.
