Supplemental draft tentatively set for Aug. 17

The NFL Supplemental Draft is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 17, according to a league source.

The league has yet to confirm any players who are eligible for the draft. As players do become eligible, their names will be circulated to the teams, something that hasn’t happened yet.

The supplemental draft typically is held several weeks before the start of training camps in mid-July, but this year, it was delayed because of the NFL lockout.
