Snelling back with Falcons on one-year deal

The Atlanta Falcons will bring back RB Jason Snelling on a one-year deal, according to a league source.

The versatile Snelling has been a reliable backup to the Falcons’ workhorse, Michael Turner. Snelling rushed for 324 yards on 87 carries, with two touchdowns in 14 games last season. He also caught 44 passes for 303 yards and three more scores.

Snelling was on the New York Giants’ rader early in the free-agent period, but when they re-signed Ahmad Bradshaw, a return to Atlanta fell into place for the four-year veteran.
