Is Sanders a Falcon, Cowboy… or Young’s hero?

CANTON, Ohio — When you think of Deion Sanders, with what team do you most associate him?
Is it the “2-Legit to Quit” era of the Falcons? The mercenary role with the 49ers? The media storm in Dallas? Or was it possibly the unthinkable eras in Washington and Baltimore?
The Pro Football Hall of Fame sure seems conflicted. The outside of Fawcett Stadium is adorned with giant photos of the Hall of Fame Class of 2011, and Sanders is represented in a Falcons jersey.
And yet, if you walk into the gift shop, they are selling commemorative pin sets featuring all of the Hall of Famers’ jerseys — but it;s Sanders’ Cowboys jersey, not a Falcons jersey.
A quick scan of the overwhelmingly sparse crowd (thanks to the cancellation of the Hall of Fame Game), finds many Cowboys fans in Sanders jerseys. In fact, I have seen as many Matt Ryan Pro Bowl jerseys (one) as I have Sanders’ Falcons jerseys. I even saw a Sanders’ Ravens jersey and a Sanders’ Redskins jerseys.
The only era of Sanders life seemingly not represented is his year in San Francisco. Although Steve Young will be here as a testament to that. I mean, Young should probably be carrying Sanders around on his shoulders for all that he did for his career.
But let’s leave it to you, what team do you most associate with Sanders?
