Irvin: Sanders the best athlete I’ve played with

The argument could be made that the cornerback going into the Hall of Fame today is the best one to ever grace the stage in Canton, Ohio. But one of Deion Sanders‘ former teammates, Michael Irvin, and coach, Steve Mariucci, argue that he was the best athlete of his generation.

“He’s simply the greatest athlete I’ve ever seen don a football field. Just a phenomenal athlete,” Irvin said. “I had a chance to play basketball against him, be with him, and compete against him all the time. What a phenomenal talent.”
