Kreutz, Saints reach terms on one-year deal

After visiting the Saints on Thursday, veteran center Olin Kreutz will agree to terms with the team on a one-year deal worth roughly $2 million, according to league sources. The total compensation of the deal has a chance to double with incentives.

The 34-year-old Kreutz spent 13 seasons in Chicago, nearly all as the starter, earning six trips to the Pro Bowl. It seems likely that the opportunity exists for Kreutz to start for the Saints, who lost starter Jonathan Goodwin to the 49ers in free agency.
