Atlanta Falcons free agent RB Jason Snelling will travel to New York on Sunday night to meet with the Giants, according to a league source.
Snelling, who has been a reliable and versatile backup to Michael Turner, has more than two teams interested in his services, including the Falcons, according to a source.
The versatile Snelling rushed for 324 yards on 87 carries, with two touchdowns in 2010. He also caught 44 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns.
The Giants have a free-agent back of their own, Ahmad Bradshaw, out looking for a job. The free-agent market for backs has lagged since Friday’s start to the free-agency frenzy. The market could be settling, which could spur movement in the days ahead.
