The Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to terms with Atlanta Falcons unrestricted free agentĀ Michael Koenen on the biggest contract in NFL history for a punter on Friday. The six-year deal is worth $19.5 million with $6.5 million guaranteed, according to a league source.
Koenen has spent all six of his NFL seasons in Atlanta.
Only the Raiders have spent more on a contract for a kicker or punter, with the four-year, $16 million deal (including $9 million guaranteed) they gave to punter Shane Lechler during the 2009 offseason.
