Kaepernick, 49ers strike four-year, $5.2 million deal

The 49ers and QB Colin Kaepernick agreed to a four-year, $5.2 million contract, with $3.8 million guaranteed, according to a league source.

Kaepernick, a second-round draft pick out of Nevada, is expected to be the No. 2 quarterback behind veteran starter Alex Smith this season.
