Three and out: Not sold on McNabb

Time for some fantasy takes on the NFL news day.
Donovan McNabb is reportedly heading to the Vikings: Our Michael Fabiano gave his view, but I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings — how is this really an upgrade for Minnesota to go from one turnover-prone veteran to another? I look at McNabb going to the Vikings the same way as I would view a reboot of the Daredevil franchise — I wasn’t a fan of the old stuff with Ben Affleck, and I have no confidence in the new one either. (Which is really sad because Daredevil is an awesome character. Yep, fantasy football and comic books, it is a wonder how I am married.) Still, I expect Christian Ponder to take over at some point this season, because he would have been the Week 1 starter if he had the full complement of minicamps. Pass on McNabb.
Santonio Holmes agrees to terms with Jets: As our Jason La Canfora reported, Holmes will remain with the Jets, which means that he is going to get the majority of targets from Mark Sanchez. Holmes had six touchdowns in 12 games last season. Look for that total to increase this year.
Plaxico Burress to meet with Giants: Didn’t it seem like Burress was tying to distance himself from the Giants? But now it looks like he is meeting with his former team. Having a big target like Burress would be a boon for Hakeem Nicks (whom I love again this year) and even Eli Manning as a quarterback sleeper.
