Panthers agree to terms with kicker Mare

The Panthers continued their busy Wednesday, agreeing to terms with kicker Olindo Mare on a four-year, $12 million deal, according to a league source. Mare will receive a $4 million signing bonus.

Mare, 38, spent the last three seasons with the Seahawks. The 2009 Pro Bowl selection made 73 of his 83 field-goal attempts during his run in Seattle. He booted five field goals in a game twice last season.

Mare’s arrival signals the probable exit of John Kasay. The 41-year-old is the lone remaining member of the original 1995 Panthers team.
