There is no deal yet for the Eagles to trade QB Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals, but multiple league sources believe it will occur within the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins appear to be the most likely destination for Broncos QB Kyle Orton, sources said, leaving the Cardinals as the leading suitor for Kolb.
The Kolb trade talks haven’t advanced yet to the stage where his representatives are talking contract with the Cardinals, sources said, but the sides were in contact before the lockout, and Arizona understands what the parameters of a new contract likely would entail. So completing a deal wouldn’t be difficult.
Sources continue to say that CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie could head to Philadelphia in a trade for Kolb. The Eagles had interest in free-agent CB Ike Taylor, but he agreed to terms with the Steelers on Tuesday.
