The Seahawks have made a major addition to their offensive line, agreeing to terms with left guard Robert Gallery, according to a league source.
Gallery, 31, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Raiders, who selected him with the second overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
Offensive line is a major area of concern for the Seahawks, who struggled with injuries and consistency at the position in 2010. The team hopes plugging Gallery in at left guard hopefully halts a revolving door that has been in place since Steve Hutchinson left for the Vikings following the 2005 season.
Gallery re-teams with Tom Cable, the ex-Raiders coach who now serves as the Seahawks’ offensive line coach under Pete Carroll.
