Quincy Black has agreed to a five-year, $29 million contract with the Buccaneers, according to a league source. The linebacker is guaranteed $11.5 million in the deal.
Black’s agent told the St. Petersburg Times on Wednesday that other teams were interested in the linebacker, but his “first option is to stay with the Bucs.”
A knee injury limited Black to 11 games last season. He finished with 61 tackles, two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble for the Bucs, who took him in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
