Data Points: The up-for-grabs NFC South

Who do you have winning the NFC South this season? Your guess is as good as ours. If there’s one division that’s been a jumbled mess since the NFL realigned in 2002, it’s got to be the NFC South.
The prospects for 2011 don’t look much different. The Falcons finished 13-3, the Saints were 11-5, and the Buccaneers 10-6 last season, the only division to have three clubs with at least 10 wins. So any one of those teams could be considered a frontrunner to win the South, or at the very least, make the playoffs. Each organization — including Carolina — still has specific needs, and could be players in free agency … a topic Pat Kirwan delves into Wednesday.
Outside of what each teams’ front office does when the free-agency period starts, the fact remains that the NFC South has been anybody’s division over the years.
