The locked-out offseason has afforded us many opportunities to connect the dots between pending free agents and their possible suitors. This is especially true when it comes to the quarterbacks expected to be available on the free-agent market.
Among them is Matt Hasselbeck. The 13-year veteran could return to the Seahawks, but he also is often linked to the Titans, who many believe will add a stop-gap veteran quarterback to start in front of rookie first-round pick Jake Locker and Rusty Smith.
Although some view Kerry Collins as the best option for the Titans, Hasselbeck has ties to the organization, and NFL Network information man Jason La Canfora sees Tennessee as a solid option if he doesn’t return to Seattle.
“I have a feeling maybe Hasselbeck lands in Tennessee when all is said and done,” La Canfora told fans during his live chat. “(The) market for him will be soft both in terms of quantity and quality of the offers out there, but we’ll find out for sure after the lockout.”
