Texans coach Gary Kubiak doesn’t seem at all bothered that Andre Johnson has reportedly lobbied free agent Nnamdi Asomugha to join him in Houston.

Even if Mike Holmgren is hesitant to do so, I have no problem anointing Colt McCoy as the Browns’ starting quarterback for next season. Of course, we know it’s not my decision.

He said he wanted to be an “icon and entertainer,” so it comes as no surprise that Cam Newton took to the microphone when he had an opportunity over the weekend at the NFL Players Rookie Photo Shoot in Los Angeles. What’s a little surprising was the song the Panthers’ No. 1 draft pick chose to cover: Justin Bieber‘s “Baby.” Entertaining, sure. Iconic, debatable. Judge for yourself.

Until Jake Locker is deemed ready to start by the Titans, there are all sorts of ideas as to who will be the next starting quarterback in Tennessee. It could be Rusty Smith, the only other quarterback currently on the roster. It could, and mostly likely will be, a veteran in the free-agent market.
