Brooks: No doubt Big Ben among top QBs

When it was unveiled that his colleagues had voted Cowboys QB Tony Romo the No. 72 player in NFL Network’s “The Top 100,” it spurred plenty of debate in NFL Nation. Really, debate isn’t a strong enough word. Many were angry that Romo was rated too high. Or, too low.
It even prompted Kurt Warner to express his belief that Romo is indeed elite.
The quarterback debate isn’t over, as seven more quarterbacks rank among the top 60 players. Presumably, one is two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger, who analyst Bucky Brooks says deserves to be in the conversation as one of the best at his position.
“I believe Big Ben is definitely one of the top QBs in the league,” Brooks said during his weekly live chat. “It’s hard to dispute his winning percentage and the impact that he makes on the game when he takes the field. While he doesn’t play the game in the same manner as Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, he is a playmaker who understands how to get it done when the game is on the line. Throw in the three Super Bowl appearances with two rings, and he is worthy of being included in the discussion of top QBs.”
Steelers fans, not much for you to argue about on this one.
