Wyche: Bucs could make run at Asomugha

It’s not a stretch to think that every team would welcome the addition of CB Nnamdi Asomugha in free agency. As one of the NFL’s few elite cornerbacks who happens to be in his prime, Asomugha is the gem of a free-agent market that only builds in anticipation during the locked-out offseason.
While we take part in sifting through the speculation, NFL.com senior writer Steve Wyche took a shot at potential suitors for Asomugha during his weekly live chat, noting not to rule out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I don’t have the exact science on this, but I would think he will choose a team that has a shot to win,” Wyche explained. “As much as money plays into this, he’s never been on a team that has won. So, the Eagles, Cowboys, Texans, Ravens and Bucs could be front-runners. I could really see the Bucs making a run with Aqib Talib’s unsettled situation.”
It’s not the first time we’ve heard Wyche suggest Asomugha landing in Tampa, which could part ways with Talib after his recent legal trouble.
