Dareus wants to make Panthers, Broncos pay

We’ve seen players use their draft position as a source for motivation as they enter the NFL before, but Marcell Dareus really hasn’t wasted any time in picking out his enemies.
Of course, it’s a pretty easy list considering Dareus was taken No. 3 overall by the Bills. Still, Dareus believes he should have been the top overall pick, and is ready to make the Panthers and Broncos pay for the perceived slight.
“If I ever get a chance to play Carolina I’m going to make them pay for passing up on me,” Dareus told Michael Irvin during an interview on WQAM (via Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com). “Denver I’ll get a chance to play them in the regular season and I’m going to make it hell for them every time I play against them.”
Getting into the flow of things, Dareus didn’t stop there. Bills fans, you might come to appreciate this venom.
“My sole focus was for me not to give you a reason to not pick me and you still don’t?” Dareus said. “Okay, I understand you have needs somewhere else, but if you need somebody to control your front and be a commander across the front and not let anything happen? I work my butt off to do that, and you pass me up still? Okay, I’ve got something for you.”
As hot as Dareus is about being the No. 3 overall pick, Bills GM Buddy Nix was pretty happy about the Broncos taking LB Von Miller ahead of them. The Bills have posted some exclusive video of Nix inside the team’s war room giving a fist-pump and a wink when Dareus slid.
