First and 10: Your soundtrack for a Football Friday

We know the routine… you listen to sports-talk radio at work Monday through Thursday every week, but Friday is time to rock out. You’ve got your SiriusXM radio on your desk tuned to the NFL channel four days a week, but with the weekend looming, it’s time to crank up the tunes on the Jam On channel or chill to some reggae on The Joint. Well, this Friday, you might have a decision to make. Because NFL.com is serving up not one but two podcasts for your listening pleasure.

To kick it off, Rich Eisen tones down the celebrity chatter in this week’s podcast and gets down to brass tacks with NFL analysts Daryl “Moose” Johnston and Brian Billick. Based on overnight Twitter comments, sounds like Billick’s segment is awesome.

And keep an eye out today for the second installment of the Dave Dameshek Football Program. Actually, it might be the first official installment, since Dameshek maintained last week that his first podcast was really more of a preseason game.

Among other things to check out on a Football Friday: Today’s Instant Debate has our NFL.com experts looking at the free-agent running backs they believe will be most in demand this summer. Where does the versatile Ronnie Brown fall in that conversation?

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt is a guest on tonight’s “NFL Total Access” — so it’s no coincidence that Arizona is the subject of tonight’s “32 Teams in 32 Days” segment.

And in case you missed last night’s “32 Teams in 32 Days,” the crew took a look at Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks. Here’s another chance to check it out.

“Total Access” will address the sad news we learned last night about the passing of former Dallas Cowboys running back Ron Springs. Springs had been in a coma the past four years after complications from surgery. His story was chronicled after he received a life-saving kidney transplant several years ago from former teammate Everson Walls. Our condolences go out to Springs’ family and friends.

Earlier this week, we gave you a Pick Six on the least influential players in the NFL. Today’s video Pick Six, which will drop this afternoon, has a similar theme, as we look at NFL divas who have become somewhat irrelevant of late.

With all the quality cornerbacks available in free agency, the question is: Which teams need them the most? That’s why today’s Data Points takes a look at teams that struggled with their pass defense last season.

You know Albert Haynesworth‘s days in D.C. are pretty much kaput. So where will he end up next? NFL.com’s Steve Wyche tackled that question in his live chat Thursday, and the answer might surprise you.

And it wouldn’t be a Football Friday without NFL.com senior writer Vic Carucci in the chat room. He’ll answer your questions about all things NFL starting at noon ET. But you can get a jump on it by submitting your questions now.
