Dukes: Bulger is best fit for Cardinals

We’ve spent a considerable amount of time — and, for the forseeable future, will continue to do so — discussing the quarterbacks expected to eventually be available in both free agency and trades.

So there’s no time like the present to explore who might be tops on that list, and where they fit. One popular name to date has been¬†Marc Bulger, who has been connected throughout the offseason to the Cardinals. Jamie Dukes and Charles Davis see it as a similar situation as to when Kurt Warner joined the Cardinals in 2004.

“The team with the most glaring need, and is the most playoff ready, is the Cardinals,” said Dukes. “The guy who I think best suits what they want to do is Bulger. He’s a guy who can spin the ball and get the ball down the field. That’s what they’re looking for. Larry Fitzgerald¬†wants a veteran guy who can come in there … and just try to catch lightning in a bottle, again, with an older quarterback.”
