Brown, Williams could be done in Miami

There are a lot of guessing games in progress around the NFL these days, as the current lockout has halted player movement and kept rosters stagnant. Even the players aren’t certain of the future — that was evident in a recent statement by Dolphins RB Ricky Williams, who doesn’t know if he or Ronnie Brown will be back with the team next season.
“I think there is always situations and I think Ronnie and I have had some success doing what we been doing here the past couple years, but I think things changed last year,” Williams said on WQAM-560′s “The Sid Rosenberg Show.”
“I think we are not the same offense we were two two years ago. I think new offensive coordinator. I think they might want to go in different direction.”
So who will take over the Dolphins backfield if Brown and Williams are out of the mix?
Well, there have been reports that the team has interest in DeAngelo Williams. Darren Sproles‘ name has also been tossed around as a potential third-down and change-of-pace back, while other reports suggest the Dolphins will take Alabama’s Mark Ingram in this month’s NFL draft. If Williams is right, and the Ricky and Ronnie era is over, there’s a good chance that the eventual starter for coach Tony Sparano could have significant value in fantasy leagues.
For now, the guessing game continues…
