Lehigh’s Rackley impresses O-line coaches

How high is the NFL’s interest in Lehigh offensive lineman Will Rackley?

Not only were scouts from six teams at the school’s pro day on Thursday, March 17, but eight more clubs sent their offensive line coaches, including the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks.

Five players from Lehigh, plus four more from smaller schools in the area, worked out outdoors on FieldTurf, but Rackley was the main attraction.

He measured 6-foot-3 1/4 and weighed 309 pounds. His 40-yard dash times were 5.50 seconds (into a slight wind) and 5.39. He had a 27-inch vertical jump, an 8-1 broad jump, a 4.78-second short shuttle and an 8.13 3-cone. He stood on his 29 repetitions in the bench press from the combine.

The consensus was Rackley probably will be a third-round draft choice next month.
