East Carolina hosted its pro day on March 23, giving 14 NFL hopefuls an opportunity to increase their stock ahead of this month’s draft.
Representatives from eight teams were in attendance, including Atlanta Falcons wide receivers coach Terry Robiskie. The event was held outdoors on FieldTurf.
Dwayne Harris was among the players who helped himself at the event. A hard worker with the ability to be an effective slot receiver at the next level, Harris (5-foot-10 1/2, 204 pounds) posted a 40 time of 4.56 against the wind and 4.51 with the wind. He kept his numbers from February’s NFL Scouting Combine otherwise.
In positional drills, Harris showed off his strong pass-catching and route-running skills. He will have a pre-draft visit with the Falcons later this week.
Another player who stood out was Willie Smith. An athletic offensive tackle prospect, Smith (6-5 5/8, 313) posted 40 times of 5.45 and 5.40, a 7.81 three-cone drill, 27 bench presses, and kept the rest of his combine numbers. He went through a positional workout as well.
