Bills dine with Gabbert prior to workout

COLUMBIA, Mo. – On the in-house TV monitors here at the athletic facility, there is a graphic that reads, “Welcome NFL scouts to the 2011 University of Missouri Pro Day.” And with QB prospect Blaine Gabbert set to work out Thursday, there will be plenty of scouts in attendance — not to mention coaches and GMs.

Early arrivals here included: Jets coach Rex Ryan, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier, Bills GM Buddy Nix, Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt and coach Mike Munchak along with offensive coordinator Chris Palmer, Lions GM Martin Mayhew, and John Fox and John Elway representing the Broncos.

Nix and other Bills representatives had dinner with Gabbert on Wednesday night. Of course, with the third overall pick in the draft, Buffalo can go in a few directions. They also recently had Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller in for a visit.

We’ll have details from Gabbert’s workout, which will not include the 40-yard dash, along with any other pertinent information, later today.
