Appalachian State combine invitees work out again

Appalachian State held its pro day on March 17. The event was indoors on FieldTurf, with six teams present to watch nine players work out (five others from small schools).

Appalachian State’s three NFL Scouting Combine invitees gave it a go once again, hoping to impress.

LB D.J. Smith, who weighed 234 pounds, stood on everything at the combine, but he had a good workout and is going to be a pretty good special teams player in the NFL.

S Mark Legree, who weighed 211 pounds, stood on everything at the combine and had a positional workout. He’s a player who will have a chance to stick on a roster.

OL Daniel Kilgore, who weighed in at 303 pounds, also worked out. He, too, kept everything at the combine.
