Alabama’s Ingram could land in New Orleans

The Saints were on the clock on “Path to the Draft” on Wednesday, and Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune joined the show to discuss where the team could be heading in the draft. The Saints could be in a tough spot with a potential 26 unrestricted free agents and one of the highest payrolls from last season. And the team would like to lock up QB Drew Brees long term.

So, where are they going with the 24th overall pick? The usual names of defensive studs were thrown around: Cameron Heyward — the son of former Saints star Craig “Ironhead” HeywardCameron Jordan and Ryan Kerrigan, to name a few.

Vould the team be in the market for a running back? Triplett expects Reggie Bush to be in the team’s plans but believes Alabama’s Mark Ingram could be an intriguing pick for the Saints.
