Wyche mock: Panthers go QB, but not Newton

NFL.com’s Steve Wyche is projecting the Panthers going after a quarterback with the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. But surprise, it’s not QB Cam Newton, but rather Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert. Wyche believes that Gabbert’s stock will rise after his upcoming pro day on Thursday.

So which quarterback-needy team does Wyche see grabbing Newton? Could it be the Bills? Cardinals? Redskins?
