Powell’s injury puts damper on workout

RB Bilal Powell had the audience he wanted at Louisville’s pro day, but a hamstring injury forced him to end his workout early.

There were 20 teams in attendance Thursday, including eight running back coaches. Powell, who suffered a similar injury at the combine, will have to see how quickly he can recover in an attempt to try to run again before the draft.

Despite the recent injury problems, Powell proved relatively durable during his time at Louisville. He’s in the second tier of running backs and could come off the board in the fourth-round range.

Here are some other notables from the 20 players who worked out indoors, on FieldTurf:

TE Cameron Graham (6-foot-3, 242 pounds) — He ran 5.08 and 5.02 in the 40-yard dash. He also had a 30 1/2-inch vertical, 9-1 board jump and kept his other numbers from the combine.

DB Johnny Patrick (5-11, 188) – Turned in a 4.52 and 4.46 40 time, a 4.30 short shuttle and stood on his other numbers from the combine.

Powell (5-10 1/2, 207) – Posted a time of 4.54 seconds in the 40 before hurting his hamstring.

WR Troy Pascley (6-1 1/4, 193) – He had 40 times of 4.69 and 4.68, 4.58 short shuttle and didn’t run the three-cone drill. He also had a 36 vertical and 10-6 broad jump.

OT Byron Stingly (6-5, 313) – He ran 4.98 and 4.98 in the 40, 4.48 in the short shuttle and 7.64 in three-cone. He posted a 27 1/2 vertical, 9-2 broad jump and 25 reps on the bench.
