Buffalo CB Josh Thomas is doing everything he can, in front of anybody he can, to prove he belongs in the NFL.
At the school’s pro day held March 10 indoors on FieldTurf, Thomas, who was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine last month, put together a solid workout in front of representatives from 14 teams. Thomas (5-foot-10 5/8, 192 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds, had a 40-inch vertical and a 10-8 broad jump, ran a 6.89 3-cone drill, and stood on his short shuttle time and bench-press repetitions.
Thomas already has had a private workout with the Patriots, and he is scheduled to visit the Bills, Eagles and Jaguars before the draft.
Also of note, S Davonte Shannon ( 6-0, 211) had a 41 ½-inch vertical and 10-6 broad jump, and ran a 4.64 40 before pulling his hamstring. Shannon still managed to push through to do individual workouts.
