Eight prospects worked out at Florida Atlantic’s pro day held on March 3 outdoors on grass.
Of the eight players, three — TE Rob Housler, WR Lestar Jean and QB Jeff Van Camp — had second chances to impress the 12 teams represented, having worked out before at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Housler (6-foot-5, 244 pounds) and Van Camp (6-5, 218) sat on the their combine numbers but performed well in position drills.
Jean (6-3, 215), though, elected to run, posting a 4.52-second 40-yard dash with the wind and 4.64 against it. He also had a 9-foot-8 broad jump. Jean worked out individually with Jacksonville, who could use some receiver help.
Also notable:
OLB Michael Lockley (6-2 ¼, 237) – He was not at the combine. He ran 4.61 and 4.74 in the 40, 4.40 in the short shuttle and 6.84 in the 3-cone drill. He had a 10-foot-9 broad jump and a 38 ½-inch vertical jump and did 22 bench-press repetitions at 225 pounds.
