The Amazing Tebow’s drive carries the green

Is there anything that Tim Tebow cannot do? National champion. Heisman Trophy winner. Mohel. Put him up against the IBM super computer on “Jeopardy!” and I am taking the lefty.
Turns out we can add golfing to the list of things that he excels at. And this is getting annoying.
Tebow teamed with former Jets’ LB Jason Taylor, Kenny G and Jack Nicklaus at the Honda Classic Pro-Am on Wednesday and apparently put on quite a show. Though he plays sparingly — a phrase that must thrill the average duffer who misses one week at the range only to watch his handicap triple — Tebow flexed his pipes and outdrove the 339-yard par-4 first hole. In fact, his drive landed on the green and rolled off according to Golfweek (via Yahoo! Devil Ball golf blog).
But don’t despair, Tebow did three-putt for a par to prove that he is indeed human. And to be honest, it did make me feel a little bit better. Hopefully it humbled Tebow a little bit too, so he doesn’t make a foolish run at professional golf when he retires like Jerry Rice. And that’s an interesting question, head-to-head in golf, who do you have, Tebow or Rice?
