INDIANAPOLIS – This really is the day everyone at the NFL Scouting Combine has anticipated. We’ve reached Day 4, when quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The buzz throughout the combine this week has been focused on the small group of top quarterbacks, and with the exception of Missouri’s Blaine Gabbert, all are expected to throw for NFL talent evaluators Sunday.
The skill-position players — split into two groups of quarterbacks/receivers and a third group of running backs — will take part in on-field testing and skill drills throughout the afternoon.
The three groups of defensive linemen and linebackers will undergo Wonderlic exams and psychological testing, followed by the bench press.
The combine’s final position group — defensive backs — is scheduled for medical exams and psychological testing, and also will be made available to the media.
That’s the setup for Day 4. We’ll bring you the latest from the field.
