INDIANAPOLIS — Who better to start with Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine than Bills coach Chan Gailey? He drew a large crowd of reporters as the first one up at the podium and delivered at least one “shoot yeah” during his 15 minutes.

Gailey didn’t tell reporters anything new about the Bills’ plans for the No. 3 overall draft pick, saying they’re “considering all options” regarding taking a quarterback, and that he’s “anxious” to see Auburn’s Cam Newton work out this week. Gailey reiterated that he’s “extremely confident” in Ryan Fitzpatrick.

We’ll have a post soon with more on Gailey’s take on Newton’s transition to the pro game.
