INDIANAPOLIS — Looks like it might be time for the Colts to update their collection of massive player photos that adorn the outside of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Bob Sanders, the veteran safety whom the Colts released last week, is still a dominant presence on the most dominant structure in town.
All 60-by-30 feet of him … or, to be more precise, his likeness.
It turns out that the process of removing one of those photos isn’t all that simple and involves a crane. Still, one would assume that, with Sanders having already visited the Bills and Jaguars, the Colts probably would want to get rid of his photo in the near future.
Unless, of course, they end up re-signing him at a significantly reduced salary. Team president Bill Polian recently acknowledged that was a possibility.
Hey, it would save the Colts the time and trouble of redecorating the outside of the stadium.
