Ravens fans, breathe easy. The rumblings that 12-time Pro Bowler Ray Lewis is poised to retire don’t appear to be on-point.
While Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome tried to squelch the same rumors last week that the team had offered the 35-year-old linebacker a financial package to retire, we’ve now heard straight from the source. Lewis told “The Dan Patrick Show” this week he would “absolutely” return.
“No ifs ands or buts about it,” Lewis said. “Unfinished business.”
So that’s that.
Oh, and here’s a great stat passed along by The Baltimore Sun: Lewis missed a total of five defensive snaps this season while finishing sixth in the NFL with 139 tackles.
