Boise State’s Young leaps in Mayock’s rankings

NFL Network’s Mike Mayock released his latest rankings of top five prospects per position, with Boise State WR Titus Young moving up the list. Young is listed third, behind Georgia’s A.J. Green and Alabama’s Julio Jones.

Mayock compared Young to DeSean Jackson during Senior Bowl practices, so the rise should not come as a total surprise. In fact, all of the NFL.com and NFL Network staff on hand in Mobile, Ala. praised Young’s week.

Young’s biggest strength was his speed, and he will have a chance to put that on display during the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine, where another leap in the rankings is possible.
