ARLINGTON, Texas — NFL Films president Steve Sabol is in the box next to us here at Cowboys Stadium, and you can tell in this photo that he can really appreciate how his company’s football highlights look on the giant screen hanging from roof.

Sabol — whose father Ed Sabol, the founder of NFL Films, was selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2011 — said he was watching the screen and thinking about the early days with his dad. The business has come a long way since he and his dad — sometimes with Frank Gifford in tow — would take his game film to the local Kiwanas Club and show it on a projector with a bedsheet as the screen.
