Packers LB Walden inactive for Super Bowl

The Packers announced that starting OLB Erik Walden has been deactivated for Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Steelers.

Walden had been listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week because of an ankle injury he suffered in the NFC Championship Game two weeks ago. Frank Zombo, who recovered from a Week 14 knee injury, is expected to start in Walden’s place.

There were no other major surprises for either team on the inactives list:

Packers inactives:
Graham Harrell (No. 3 QB)
RB Dimitri Nance
CB Brandon Underwood
CB Josh Gordy
FB Quinn Johnson
OL Evan Dietrich-Smith
OL Nick McDonald
LB Erik Walden

Steelers inactives:
Charlie Batch (No. 3 QB)
RB Jonathan Dwyer
CB Crezdon Butler
OT Chris Scott
DT Steve McLendon
OG Dorian Brooks
DE Aaron Smith
LB Jason Worilds
