I need to keep my mouth shut

ARLINGTON, Texas — I feel sick right now. I tweeted earlier that I thought Aaron Rodgers was going to have his way with the Steelers defensive backs, and next thing you know, Rodgers hit Jordy Nelson for a touchdown. Jordy Nelson!

I need to stop talking here in the press box. Because every time I say something, I breathe it to life. I swear, I called that play-action play to Nelson right before it happened. I started talking about him possibly being the MVP, and he’s killing the Steelers.

This game is gonna come down to this first possession of the second half. If the Steelers can get a three-and-out, this is a new game. Maybe I will start talking about that out loud.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to settle down Pat Kirwan. He’s dancing up a storm here in the press box. Hey Pat, that no cheering in the press box goes for dancing, too.

Here is my top five for MVP right now:

1. Nelson
2. Rodgers
3. Tramon Williams
4. Hines Ward
5. Greg Jennings

My biggest upset of the first half, is that there are no sacks in the first half. With these defenses, imagine that.
