‘Never Miss a SB Club’ missing a member

DALLAS — There is an old joke that says, if you ever want to make God laugh, tell him what you are doing tomorrow.
Robert Cook of the “Never Miss a Super Bowl Club” has learned this the hard way. Cook was shown in ads for Visa saying, “I am going to make it to the Super Bowl game, there is no question about that. No matter what.”
Oh, man. Can we have a do-over?
Cook, who has been to every Super Bowl, has been in a Wisconsin hospital since Thursday, and will not attend the Super Bowl for the first time ever. Well, that is if the NFL will continue on with the game after hearing this news.
An added bummer is that Cook is a Packers fan, who claims Super Bowl XXXI as his favorite Super Bowl. At least he can commiserate with Brett Favre about having their consecutive games streaks end in the same season.
Two of his daughters are planning to do the Super Bowl. I mean, you don’t want to come out and just guarantee that they are.
The other three members are expected to be at Super Bowl XLV. If we have learned anything from the commercials, these guys don’t miss the Super Bowl for anything.
